| More and more startgates
are required
for the dynamic alpine sport types of Skicross and Boardercross. These metal constructions are very robus and fitted with 4
flap-gates. Even if a 10 cm snow surface guarantees non-contact with
the metal surface for ski and snowboards during the start alike, after a
couple of take-offs the snow surface is diminished and a direct contact
with the metal at the start-gate can no longer prevented, thereby not
only
damaging equipment but accounting for a loss in valuable time.

Advantage-Skitrax:
By interlocking 4x4 Skitrax tiles and mounting these to the surface with long
nails or freezing-up, even the final starter will not have any contact with
the metal surface.
