| TERRAIN PARKS & SLOPE STYLE PARKS -
Indoor & Outdoor |

| Nearly every ski region
has its smaller or larger terrain park. The demand for obstacles is on
the rise, so also the steepness of slopes or jumps. Particularly
artifical jumps (i.e. steel pipe with wooden inrun) are so steep that no
snow will stick. This also counts for the basic attachment of steep
zones in half pipes. |
Advantage-Skitrax:
By laying Skitrax on concrete or wood, snow will stick and freeze-up
with the floor. This results in a high floor adhesion and the jump, wave
or pipe can also be used over a longer period during warm temperatures. |

"Terrain
Park features become increasingly popular with Skitrax being used in
some of these features where control options are beneficial for the
terrain park users."
SAM / the American "Ski Area Management" publication in November 2007
published an interesting article about terrain park trends. "The
Plastic makes it!" |
