„2. jump & turn“ contest on the VIKING water ramp in Oberaudorf
For
the first time ever „King of Spin“ Night jump
____________________________________________________________
There
is a vibe at the previously "contemplative" lake Luegsteinsee. With the
new construction of the water jump in summer 2008 the VIKING water jump
has developed into an "obligatory corner" for every freestyler. Dozens
of amateur, professionals and national teams from Europe and even Asia
are enjoying training sessions right here every day.
Now you
can show off your skills, in a double pack on the weekend of August 29
to 30, 2009. On Saturday there will be a general training from 14h00 to
18h00. And then the contest is on! With the first twilight the
freestyle’s are "alert". The qualification is held at 19h00 and from
20h00 the finals for the "King of Spin" are held. 6 very bright spots
will illuminate the entire area around the jump and the lake. "Who is
the King of Spins" - is the motto of this event. Sponsorship tents with
food & beverages called the "Sea & Fast & Sausage Food" will contribute
to a proper atmosphere.
On Sunday, August 30, 2009 the
second International Jump
Contest "Jump & Turn" will take
place. This time the fight is on
for the VIKING Trophy and the
best water jumper. By increasing
the inrun kicker by 40 degrees,
spectacular double somersaults
can be shown - and perhaps even
a triple flip! Next to the
general class there is a junior
class and a master challenge. The
new comers can take on the
challenge with the experts - on
the 30 degree or 40 degree
kicker.
An
interesting sponsoring package (amongst others wax, drinks, exclusive
T-Shirt) is held available for each participant of both events. Special
interesting prizes are held ready for the winners. Last year nearly
1.000 spectators and two TV stations with many press representatives
were around. "We are catering for a sunny weekend with onset of
darkness in the evening", the organisation committee announced with a
grin.
