First time Rail and Waterjump Contest
__________________________________________________________  For the third time, the Jump & turn contest will be held on August 7, 2010 in Oberaudorf. For the first time, the Summer Rail contest will be held at the valley station of the Hocheck mountain tram in the morning on snow-like Skitrax SP PVC mats. Beginning of July two rails already were installed and filled with mats. During weekends and in the colder hours of the evening, young freeskiers already are enjoying themselves on the rail. On Friday, August 6, 2010 the afternoon training session and registration for Rail & Waterjump contestors will be closed for active participants. Depending on capacity, further participants may apply on Saturday. In order to successfully have both championships on one day, the participants are in for a very early start. Already at 8.30 a.m. the registration takes place at the Hocheck Chairlift valley station. Each participant will receive a well-filled sponsor package. For 9 a.m. a Press Conference is scheduled in the restaurant „Almrausch“ at the valley station. The use of summer rail and freestyle waterjump as performance base and tourist attraction alike (for e.g. “3 years VIKING Waterjump – a Story of Success”, newly implemented “Forest HighWire Park Hocheck”, “Skitrax – always where snow is missing”) will be presented in detail by various speakers. In parallel, the contestants will have their warmup to a punctual start at 10 a.m. Sponsoring tents with information, music and catering in the restaurant “Almrausch” will ensure a leisure atmosphere to this freestyle event. As of lunch time, the event will be moved across to the lake of Luegstein to the VIKING waterjump. A shuttle car is on standby for the athletes to ensure a speedy transport to the waterjump to see their fast, breath-taking double salto backflip with double cork on Skitrax. Sponsorship tents and the well known “WSV Lake Luegstein Service” will take care of all needs of sportsmen and visitors alike. Last year more than 600 visitors came by, the Bavarian TV and regional TV Oberbayern station reported of more than 1 million viewers.
