Gliding on the plain
____________________________________________________________________ As long-standing manufacturers of synthetic skiing surfaces we have paid attention to the loud calls made by the operating companies of chair lifts. “We need, in particular in the areas of exits, long-lasting PVC mats, allowing winter sportsmen to safely glide a few metres on to the slopes, independent of snow layers. At the beginning of the winter season November/December this is of particular important as well as from end February until season end”. A development team from Skitrax worked solely on this topic during winter 09/10. Under different snow conditions in various ski regions in Europe (St. Moritz/CH) and the States (Beaver Creek) the new materials were tested. Warm temperatures in April in the Alps were ideal for testing on alms and parks. Since spring 2010 the new Skitrax are on the market. Gliding through the plains on ski and snowboard herewith got a totally new connotation. Ideal also for lift entries and snow poor, even passage ways on ski slopes. Also the many connection tunnels can be run fully after Skitrax SP has been laid and are no longer dependant of the daily piste preparation. New are also the possibilities for nordic skiers. A track or course is easily laid and the skater can do their rounds without any problems – with the same material used in winter. This is all of major interest for the wintersport industry. In this field the snowboarders are jacked up, having soon realised the advantage of “high gliding and use” of Skitrax SP. As from September 2010, together with a renowned and leading snowboard manufacturer a “slide & jump” presentation will be held in approx. 120 European cities on new snowboards with Skitrax SP. Also the sport article trade profits. Independent of the snow situation, outdoor events (for e.g. a ramp on a long exit) can be held safely and cost-effective, for e.g. a packing “snow-action show” presented in front of a sport store with the latest ski, snowboard, gear and other equipment The new prospect 2010 here: |
